Research Manager - Qualitative Research

Research Manager - Qualitative Research US based, Virtual Office Environment

We’re looking for a talented and passionate researcher to join our growing team in the US. All 30 members of the US team work virtually, based throughout the Philadelphia and New York areas. This position reports directly to one of our Research Directors and is a unique opportunity for you to showcase your consultancy approach to research.

Success in this position is measured by your ability to manage multiple qualitative and quantitative, local and international projects by both leading and supporting others on the project from proposal to debrief; to be part of the team, helping to build the client base by attracting repeat business from successful project delivery and over servicing.

We’re looking for you if you have a bachelor’s degree, four years’ experience working in a market research agency with a pharmaceutical focus (preferably in multiple therapeutic areas), expertise in ad-hoc qualitative and quantitative market research techniques, and high standards in terms of quality products and client service, and the ability to work proactively in a virtual environment, and a willingness to travel for fieldwork as required.
Research Support

Research Support UK based, Ealing office

In search of a Research Support role? This could be the one for you. Based in our London office, the successful post holder will be required to provide organisational and coordination support to the Head of Business Support, as well the research teams and senior management. The role includes database management; project records and report maintenance; project budgeting and conversion into client-specific templates.

Requirement: a minimum of two years’ experience in an office environment, experience preparing standardised reports; and database inputting and management. Exposure to ad-hoc project work (ideally in a market research setting) would be an advantage.
Research Director - Oncology

Research Director - Oncology US Based, Virtual Office Environment

If you’re looking for your next research role, find out more about a new Research Director (Oncology) role available at THE PLANNING SHOP. The role is accountable for promoting a professional research environment that encourages repeat business; delivering an agreed target turnover of projects; managing a team of researchers; delivering high quality research projects; and ensuring the successful implementation of PLANNING SHOP research methodologies. The post-holder will also become part of the management team, actively contributing to the strategic and tactical direction of the Company, as well as advising and supporting Global Operations in the resourcing of all research projects.

Requirement: a minimum of five years’ experience working in a market research agency with time spent on healthcare and pharmaceutical projects (client-side experience also an advantage); team management and development experience; a good understanding of the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries; and a passion for oncology research.
Research Director

Research Director UK based, Ealing office

This high-level position will report into a Senior Research Director or the Managing Director at THE PLANNING SHOP.

The chosen candidate will effectively manage projects and a team of researchers ensuring the successful implementation of THE PLANNING SHOP research methodologies. He/she will also support the Business Development team by encouraging repeat business amongst clients; advise and support global operations in the resourcing of research projects; deliver an agreed target turnover of projects; and be part of the management team, actively contributing to the strategic and tactical direction of the company.

The postholder will also head up at least one of our foundation accounts and be a part of 2-3 other accounts.

Requirement: a minimum of eight years’ experience working in a market research agency, with time spent with a pharmaceutical focus; business development and client-side experience; experience managing a team of 3-4 team members; and the hunger to win projects and guide them to their successful conclusion. Therapy area experience in women’s health, cardiology, immunology, dermatology and vaccines would also be advantageous.
